The 17th annual Festival of Flowers, produced by Providence Hospital Foundation, will bloom March 25-28th, 2010. Acknowledged as the premier flower and garden event on the Greater Gulf Coast, the festival is arrayed under tent and sky on the campus of Providence Hospital. Over 300,000 square feet of exhibits enchant, entertain and educate visitors at this feast for all the senses.

Selected by the Southeast Tourism Society (STS) annually for more than a decade as one of the Top 20 Events for March, the Festival has received acclaim from community, industry leaders and tourism officials.

“Stand By Me” is the harmonious theme guiding the spectacular displays. Mankind’s love of international music and flowers will be woven together with the creation of a global tapestry of gardens. The panorama will take visitors on a journey from England to Holland to Asia and points in between.
♪ A giant Old World Windmill displays a familiar energy concept with a very modern twist.

♪ The new Floral Couture display highlights whimsical attire fashioned from greenery,
flowers and sheer felicity.

♪ Flowers from every continent and subcontinent thrill the senses.

♪ The World of Photography contest exhibits the area’s visual talents.

♪ Master Gardeners are available to guide any green thumb about the Old Stand By plants
for the home gardener.

♪ Vendors from across the country feature objects d’art and goods for the home and
garden in our Gardener’s Galleria.

♪ Our new Seeds of Wisdom venue transforms written works into floral designs created by
literary enthusiasts in our community.

♪ Chic and fashionable ‘Scapes and Floral Design Exhibits bedazzle.
♪ Artist in Residence is Sarah Haas.

♪ Blooming Cuisine is the newest in ultra chic food preparation and kitchen design.
Menus that involve the use of fresh vegetables, herbs and flowers will be featured.

♪ Mobile Museum of Arts’ weekend program charms children of all ages.

♪ The latest garden gear and equipment is exhibited and for sale.

♪ No visit to the Gulf Coast is complete without a visit to the Garden Café.
