Clandestine, a 30-minute film by Gideon Carson Kennedy and Marcus Rosentrater, will receive its first Mobile screening, presented by the South Alabama Film Festival, on Saturday, April 3 at 5 PM in Bernheim Hall, followed by a brief Q&A.
Clandestine had its world premiere at the International Film Festival of Amsterdam (IDFA) last November. There, it was one of 17 shorts in competition amongst the over 300 films chosen for the world’s largest documentary film festival. Since then, it has played at Cinequest (San Jose, CA); the Thin Line Festival (Denton, TX); on the traveling Black Maria Film and Video Festival (where it won the Jury Prize); and is scheduled to play at both the Indie Grits Film Festival (Columbia, SC) and at the Atlanta Film Festival.
