This is a stupid, pathetic, lame attempt to create a viral video. Good luck – it is like a virus in that it does induce nausea though.
Mod Mobilian has asked for a interview with its creator “ProtectMobile2010″ – we will see if we get it. We will see if they will reveal their identity – it would help abrogate involvement by the Erwin campaign if they did, but we won’t hold our breath.

If the creator’s identity is revealed and is in no way an Erwin supporter than we will APOLOGIZE and declare our neutrality. Although we will say the Erwin campaign’s official negative ads are not much better and are pretty disgusting themselves – see (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mrhDsVLfQ0g).
Is this really what a campaign for one of our city’s most important positions has degenerated into? Should we really elect anyone whose campaign would create this juvenile trash? How can criminials or citizens respect the D.A.’s office when they act like this?
To be 100% honest we didn’t have a dog in the hunt and were leaning towards Erwin but we feel we cannot let this kind of dirty politics go unnoticed. If these are the kind of games that supporters of Mark Erwin play then we don’t need him as our D.A.

I had the chance to meet Ashley Rich and Mark Erwin and hear them both speak and answer some tough questions. I have to admit I was for Erwin until I met Rich, when I learned that even though she worked for Tyson, she did not share his vision or method of operations. The video asks why Rich didn’t have anything to do with the Herman Thomas case. It is because Tyson assigns the attorneys to cases, and Rich was exclusively doing murder cases for the past 2 years. After meeting Ms. Rich I have to say she strikes me as nothing like John Tyson, and her experience as a prosecutor (something Erwin lacks) makes her even more attractive. The ads by the Erwin campaign trying to make her out to be just like John Tyson (the official ads) are simply not true.

I think this is hysterical. I heard them speak at the republican committee and all she could say was ‘do i look like john tyson’ over and over. I wouldn’t vote for her if it was between her and Herman Thomas…well ok maybe then but. I like the humor here. With all the negatives going on in the world its good to laugh!!

Dear writer,
You assume that Erwin’s campaign did this video but you have a video that the campaign claimed. My point is why would they claim one and not the other. Your logic is no one else can make a video. Writer, have you tried googling Herman Thomas that same clip that is in all three of those videos is on the first search page (i looked). Writer you blast whoever the creator is with words like stupid, pathetic, lame, but is it not the citizen’s right to express their opinion and beliefs? If you wrote a column against a politician you did not support, would you want someone to label it like you did this video? In the end, writer I watched the video a few times and it made me laugh every time. If anything it made me go research the points made and they came back confirmed.

If it were a campaign for 6th grade class treasurer it might be funny – but as an ad for Mobile County DA it is pathetic – shows a lack of class and integrity
