Who are you?
James Samuel Potts, Jr was born in the West End Baptist Hospital, in Birmingham, Alabama in 1940. A fifth generation native. His parents are James and Margaret Earl Potts, now deceased.
He attended Montevallo Schools (Kindergarten through High School) beginning in 1947 and graduating from High School in May, 1959.
He joined the US Air Force in December, 1959. While enlisted in the service, he attended college at night at East Carolina College and the University of Hawaii. He was honorably discharged early from the service in September 1964 after which he attended San Jose State College and West Valley College. He later attended Redwoods College. His total credit hours were 158 semester hours or 5 yrs.
James is a Republican and has 25 years experience as a Financial Professional in various capacities: Systems Design, Assistant Treasurer and Tax Collector, Controller of a Savings & Loan, Partner in a Mortgage Company and a Financial Advisor with Drexel Burnham Lambert.
