Mobile Bay Sierra Club monthly meeting Tuesday evening, June 1st, at 5 Rivers Delta Center at 7:00 p.m.

Program: The National Geographic “Gulf Oil Spill” video of what happened April 20th, 2010, on the Deepwater Horizon oil rig. The video shows how salvage crews battled their way to the burning rig on April 20th following an explosion that killed 11 of the 126 men on board. This is one of America’s biggest environmental disasters. Depending on how long it takes to cap and clean up the underwater Gulf of Mexico oil gusher, this accident may become the largest oil catastrophe in history.
