Bobby Wyatt, a Mobile native and UMS Wright senior, shot a 57 in the 65th Boys’ State Junior Championship at the Country Club of Mobile.
He had a bunch of eagles and birdies and so forth. The lowest score in Competitive Golf History – pretty amazing.
A 55 and 56 have been recorded – but both on courses less than 6500 yards (5000 and 6000 respectively) so they are reportedly not eligible for a world record. Word from Guinness on Wyatt’s score becoming official is pending.
Congratulations Bobby.
