Lil Greenwood, Mobile’s most famous and loved female vocalist, who sang with Duke Ellington’s Orchestra among others, suffered a stroke earlier this year.
She has been recovering at a local healthcare facility and is on an indefinite hiatus from performing.
Mod Mobilian recently visited Ms. Greenwood and she seemed to be recovering well and in good spirits.
Ms. Greenwood recently had her 86th birthday (November 18) – Happy Birthday and we wish you continued recovery so that we will hear you sing again someday soon - from Mod Mobilian.
