Mod Mobilian Press is proud to announce a pair of literary projects due out in the coming months.
First is the printed version of local author Janet Nodar’s compilation “Trumpet Field and Other Stories.” Previously available only in digital form, Nodar’s compelling collection of fertile stories speak in a voice that rings true to the area and with perspective honed by a peripatetic life that folds in a wide humanity. Nodar has added an additional story previously unavailable in the digital format. GET IT NOW AT AMAZON.COM or look for this work to be available in local stores before the end of October.
Also, Mod Mobilian Press’ much-anticipated anthology “Tributaries 2012” is due on shelves before December. This compendium of Mobile-area literary talent is but a sampling of the talent to be found in the area surrounding the Azalea City. Among those authors selected for the work are:
Thomas Perez, Gideon C. Kennedy, Heath Underwood, Ronald F. Turner, Marjorie Turner, Jamie Poole, Keith McElderry, C. J. Petterson, Anna Plovanich, Joyce Scarbrough, Heather Wilkins, Samuel Wilkes, Celia Lewis and Elizabeth Herboso.
Containing poetry and short stories in a variety of genres and styles, “Tributaries 2012” is ideal for introducing literary fans to both new talent and some of our more established artisans.
Both works will make for ideal Christmas presents. Stay tuned for book signings and appearances in coming months.
Also, keep your ears open for another Mod Mobilian Press work due out early in 2013, a first-ever biography of one of Mobile’s most notable historic figures.
