Tedeschi Trucks Band @ Wanee 2014
by Tim Borland
Many music fans already know that Derek Trucks of the Tedeschi Trucks Band will be leaving the Allman Brothers after the legendary band wraps up its 2014 tour commitments. The famous slide guitarist began with the band as a prodigy and continues now as a musician who has come into his own. Indeed, his own project Tedeschi Trucks Band won a grammy award for their debut album.
The Mod Crew was on at Harvest Festival 2013 prior to the big announcement and was able to document the band at the festival press conference. I was even fortunate enough to be chosen to ask Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi a question about the band’s relationships. Harvest Festival occurs on Mulberry Mountain in Arkansas, and is the same location as this summer’s upcoming Wakarusa festival June 5-8. Below is a video of that conference.
Tedeschi Trucks Band and Allman Bros will both be performing at Wanee Festival in Live Oak, Fla. April 10 – 12. Do not miss one of the last opportunities to see the Allman Brothers live before their break up at the end of this year.
