by Tim Borland
The Mobile Witches Ride challenges the best, most fabulous collection of witches and warlocks to costume up and hop on your broom (or bicycle), for a fun slaw paced 3 mile trek around Mobile and DeTonti Square. In partnership with the Fairhope Witches Ride, this event will come to downtown Mobile on Oct. 30 at home base The Blind Mule. Registration is still open at: mobilewitchesride.eventbrite.com
The main event will occur between 3:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. The ride will end with a fabulous block party with music, libations, and food from local food trucks and the party hosts, The Blind Mule. A ticket purchase includes access to the street party, an event t-shirt, and one free beer. Food and and additional beverages will be for sale through the onsite vendors. Prizes for best dressed Witch and Warlock will be awarded during the event.
This benefit will aid Delta Dogs, a local non-profit that helps provide free spay, neuter, and veterinary services to the pets of Mobile’s community in need. Tickets will be $30 donation and will continue to Oct. 29 until the event is sold out, and late registrants are not guaranteed a free t-shirt and beer.
