Regional act Flow Tribe will be returning to Fairhope Brewing Company on January 13. The NOLA band will be bringing their own personal flow and energy to the crowd just in time for the Mardi Gras season. The concert begins at 8 p.m. with a cover charge of only $10. FBC is located at 914 Nichols Ave. Fairhope, Ala.
The concert presents an excellent opportunity for those who missed the band’s great performance at Callaghan’s Irish Social Club in December. Prior to that show, the band spoke with Mod Mobilian about their current tour. The link to the interview is below for those who missed it:
During that performance the band surprised the crowd with covers of a wide range of musicians, from “Another Brick In The Wall (part 2)” by Pink Floyd to Juvenile’s
“Back That Ass Up.” A large crowd gathered to drink and dance along with the band. The concert was packed from stage to bar, as fans gathered close to stay warm from the chilly weather.
The group also thrilled audiences with their own original repertoire, complete with NOLA touches such as a washboard musician. Below is exclusive video footage from that performance of the band’s single “Walk Like an Animal.” The single can also be found on the band’s Soundcloud account, in the links at the bottom of the article.
Fairhope Brewing Company is an excellent selection for the band’s upcoming performance as guests can sample some of the best locally brewed beers in town. For Mobile to have such assets as local breweries, and interesting regional acts to visit the city, the community must support events like these. This Friday, make an investment in the regional music scene and independent business by considering an event such as this.
